About Meditation

What is Meditation?

Life brings us many challenges. Learning how to meditate is a very practical way of learning how to manage the stresses of life.

The one thing we can control is how we respond to external circumstances.

Sometimes there are experiences in life that are extremely hard and they can’t be altered.

When we accept that we can’t change certain things, there comes the realisation that we can change how our nervous system responds to it.

This leads to a deeper sense of clarity in which we are able to see the other things in life that we can change.

How does it work?

At my glorious field, one of the things I love to do is teach people how to meditate.

We use all of the surroundings and the session is tailored to you. We immerse in whatever nature brings us in the moment – the weather, the sounds, the smells.

We use movement and imagery to help you discover how to reconnect with the earth beneath your feet and begin to calm your nervous system.

A calm nervous system will help you to cope better when you are in difficult circumstances.

What can I expect?

After a while of practicing the early stages of ‘active’ meditation in nature, you might find that you’re ready to go deeper into yourself and experience the stillness that is your all-pervading soul.

This level of meditative awareness is the key to experiencing life as an observer. It is the beginning of finding real happiness as you become more rooted in what you really are rather than the reactive, busy mind full of fears, likes and dislikes.

Real freedom is within you and nature can help you remind yourself of the full brilliant potential of what you are.

I have suffered from anxiety for most of my life and it was just a part of me that I thought would never go away. I met Grace by accident as I was walking past her field. The gate was open and I walked in to see the horse that was standing by the fence. Grace was very welcoming and invited me in to meet all her animals. I suddenly found myself telling her about my anxiety and she was such a good listener and the sheep were so friendly that I felt heard for the first time. I have since been back for meditation lessons and I am very happy to say that I can observe my anxiety and let it go.”
