Therapeutic sessions during terminal illness

Terminal Illness Support
Being diagnosed with a ‘terminal’ illness is a shocking experience which requires a different level of support
I have had 30 years of experience learning how to listen to people with terminal diagnoses and I have had the honour of assisting people to find their hidden courage and ability to find peace within the fear of illness.
It is my absolute pleasure to be able to offer you the space to explore your fears in a non-judgemental environment. You can say whatever you need to say and I will listen deeply. I will not bombard you with any suggestions so there will be no pressure to do anything.
Your sessions with me will be guided by how you feel in the moment. We can walk or we can sit – immersing in nature to help you feel more able to be honest.
The Therapeutic Elements
Coaching
Coaching in the form of a no-pressure exploration of ‘things that are bothering you in your everyday life’ – can lead to releasing extra unnecessary burdens of guilt, obligations, and toxic situations.
All of which could be lowering your immunity and contributing to your illness.
Together, we can discover what you want to say or do to help you feel better.
Meditation
Learning that there is a part of you that is capable of feeling total calm is very liberating and it will help you during the most difficult parts of your illness.
It will also help to improve your immune system and lower your blood pressure so that your body is more able to heal itself.
Healing
Some people may want to explore the unseen, spiritual realms of life and receive healing.
I can also teach you how to do self-healing.

What this means for you?
The above therapeutic elements will help you to feel freer within your mind. This will help you to be able to live better and feel better in general.
Learning how to manage your thoughts and your reactive emotions is a powerful skill which you will be able to take into your hospital procedures so that they are a calmer experience.

“My diagnosis of secondary cancer shocked me more than I can describe. I felt that my life was over and I was angry about this because I wanted to live to see my grandchild be born. I am so glad that a friend told me about Grace. She has lifted my heart and helped me to see how I can think differently and that has helped me endure my chemo with success. I was given a very short life expectancy but am very happy to say I am still here several years later. I still have cancer but it is much smaller than it was and although I still have bouts of fear, I am able to remember what I learned with Grace and feel calmer.”
