Therapeutic Coaching to help you live a more fulfilled life

About Coaching
What is Coaching?
Coaching is similar to counselling in that it involves you doing most of the talking and me deeply listening and asking pertinent questions to help you resolve the issues that are negatively impacting your life.
This mode of therapy is very empowering because you aren’t being told what to do. You are being helped to find out for yourself what you want to choose to do and how you can be free of misplaced obligations and unnecessary guilt.

How does it work?
Before we embark on coaching, we begin with a discussion about what you’d like to explore within the sessions and what you’d like to achieve from coaching.
Coaching requires you to be honest about what you really want and how you really feel. It involves the challenge of being shown what limiting beliefs you may be suffering from and how you could potentially improve your life be getting rid of all the ‘I can’t do this because…’
A good coach will listen to you but will also hold up a mirror to show you where you are trapping yourself so there will be moments where you might feel uncomfortable.
It’s ok to feel discomfort – it’s how we grow.

What can I expect?
I can’t make you change and I can’t make your life better. But what I can do is help you to uncover the parts of you that are very capable of making the changes that will improve your life. Step by step I am here to help you take responsibility for you.
My sheep and horses can be part of the coaching scenario. Often it helps to be distracted by cuddling a woolly sheep when you’re talking. They will help you to laugh, relax and open up.
For some people, standing with a horse or even grooming them is what they need in order to open up and be able to talk more honestly. We can then observe the reactions of the animals to uncover things you aren’t seeing in yourself.
I was so stressed dealing with all the responsibilities that come with being a single, working mum. I’m so glad I stopped being such a martyr and allowed myself some time out to come to Grace’s field. Firstly, being with her sheep was such an unusual and lovely experience it helped me lower my guard and I started saying things that surprised me. I’m not normally that open. Secondly, Grace was really good at listening and showing me the things about myself that I really needed to see. I am now more relaxed because instead of battling on alone, I am able to ask for help from family and friends. I am a much happier person now thanks to Grace’s magic therapy field!”
